About Therapy
The idea of therapy can be scary for a lot of reasons - meeting someone new, wondering what might be expected of us, and considering the possibility of speaking about painful things. But it can also be incredibly valuable, giving us a chance to consider what we want in life and offering support in addressing whatever barriers might be in our way of moving in that direction.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy offers a structured approach to considering emotions, thoughts (including memories), and behaviours that might be keeping us stuck. How therapy looks will depend to a great extent on the problems a person wants to address; our first sessions will focus on gaining a shared understanding of your situation.
Some areas where Cedar & Sage Psychotherapy can offer assistance include low mood, anxiety, trauma, difficulty regulating emotions, OCD, and self-esteem, amongst others.
